While Robert Schuman's home - a Lorraine house restored as it was in the 1950s and 1960s - reveals the private world of the politician who worked for Moselle, France and Europe, the permanent exhibition is mainly concerned with the construction of Europe in the 1950s. Designed to promote understanding while reaching out to the visitor's emotions, the museum offers a sensitive and documented account of the career of Robert Schuman, whose life merged with the destiny of the region and that of the continent.

Während der Besuch des Wohnhauses von Robert Schuman die private Welt dieses Politikers - Mosellaner, Franzose und Europäer - unter dem Blickwinkel der Wiederherstellung eines lothringischen Hauses aus den Jahren 1950-1960 präsentient, zeigt die ständige Ausstellung, welchen wesentlichen Beitrag Schuman für den europäischen Einigungsprozess in den 1950er-Jahren geleistet hat.
