This IEA report provides a comprehensive, in-depth assessment of the energy policies of France including recommendations for how policies could be improved. The report acknowledges the considerable progress made since the first oil crisis towards meeting stated energy policy goals -energy security, competitiveness and environmental protection- but argues the case for some reorientation of policy.
