The manual by Y. Lulzac (discoverer of Lulzacite) applies the dichotomic method to gem materials determination. This original method is widely used in other disciplines (e.g. botanics). It consists in forming groups presenting the same typical characteristics, absent in the other groups. The method uses a logical path starting from the measurements made with the classical gemological instruments.
