Standard Business Contracts

In this publication, the authors have drafted and collected together in one reference book, a number of « standard » business contracts, governed by Belgian law but drafted in English. The contracts can all be validly signed and executed in English, without translation (with the exception only of the articles of association). Each model is preceded by a short introduction drawing the reader's attention to the most salient provisions of Belgian law relevant to that particular contract. Also, in most models, different options have been included and in footnotes, the reader is given some guidance as to how those options can best be completed. The models in this book will serve as a useful guideline to how a number of contracts would customarily be drafted in a Belgian business environment.

Besides being a practical and reliable resource, this publication is a highly appreciated manual (guide) for modern companies who, more and more, are faced with all sorts of contracts.

Three distinguished jurists have collected together a number of « standard » business contracts which are frequently needed by companies today. The authors, have drafted about twenty-five contracts that will serve as a useful guideline for a great many agreements which are of the greatest interest in the corporate world. The table of contents provides a clear illustration of the large spectrum of subjects. All aspects which must be taken into consideration are thoroughly incorporated into these standard business contracts, which, especially for international agreements, are of the utmost importance.
