This review focuses on all areas of the Polish system of education and training, including the quality and effectiveness of education, the teaching profession and teacher education, higher education and the financing of education. Recommendations are wide-ranging. They concern a more systematic curriculum development accompanied by a better evaluation of the performance of the system.
