For over a century Staron - founded in Saint-Etienne in 1867 - was a textile firm, a family, and a luxury brand combining traditional skills, prestige and bold, modern design.

Staron fabrics reflected impeccable taste, elegance and daring innovation, seducing the great couturiers of the post-war era. Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Cardin and the American designer Norman Norell dressed the world's most stylish women in « Staron ».
