The twenty-fifth year of IMHE's existence was celebrated in Prague with a conference on "The World on the Move and Higher Education in Transition". The papers given at this conference demonstrated how many areas of higher education management have attracted attention during this quarter century thanks to the IMHE Project. Seven of these papers are presented in the first part of this issue.
