Découpée, cisaillée, tranchée, fondue, torsadée, elle a envahi l'école d'architecture de Versailles. Elle a même abrité un violoncelliste. Suspendue au plafond du centre d'art, elle a pris la forme d'une membrane bleutée et arborescente. La bouteille de plastique comme matériau pour des architectures de rêve est une idée de Fernando et Humberto Campana , designers brésiliens, qui donne lieu à un workshop avec 170 étudiants de l'énsa-v puis à l'exposition Garrafa à La Maréchalerie. Avec Garrafa , les frères Campana utilisent les qualités esthétiques du plastique pour construire des espaces où la lumière devient un monument baroque et la géométrie organique.

Première publication française sur les célèbres designers, cet ouvrage retrace les étapes de cette intervention réalisée avec l'enthousiasme des étudiants.

Cut up, sheared, slit, melted, twisted round, it has taken over the architecture school of Versailles. It even sheltered a cello player. Hanging from the ceiling of the art center, it has taken the form of a blue-ish, arborescent membrane. Using the plastic bottle as material to build dream structures is an idea that comes from Fernando and Humberto Campana, Brazilian designers, which led to the organisation of a workshop in which 170 students from the énsa-v participated and then gave rise to the Garrafa exhibition at the Maréchalerie. With Garrafa , the Campana brothers use the aesthetic properties of plastic to construct spaces where light becomes a baroque monument and geometry becomes organic.

Being the first French publication about these famous designers, this work recounts the stages of the Campanas' contribution carried out with the students' enthusiasm.
