As a simple visitor, Francis Gaudichet decided one day to settle in Biot. The little town, brimming with flowers, was able to keep him there and, ever since, he has devoted his time to scouring its steeply sloping old streets. On his way, he met a local inhabitant, more curious than others about his work as a painter, who told him of the town's history. Gradually, the pages of a travel diary took shape and colour. Closely following the watercolours, the narrative invites us to discover the pristine soul of this truly lovely commune, which attracted the greatest artists and craftsmen and whose art of living has lost none of its appeal for visitors in search of authenticity.
