Over 28% of total carbon dioxide emissions in OECD countries comes from thetransport sector. Despite the existence of millions of cars and trucks, there are stillno signs of saturation of energy use in transportation. Therefore, without newactions, there are few prospects for the stabilisation of CO2 emissions from thissector.
