During the last decade, Algeria, Egypt and Libya have improved their fiscal terms for oil and gas development and have seen a great deal of investment by international oil companies. As a group, the three countries are implementing plans to increase crude oil production capacity 16% to 3.65 million barrels per day (mb/d) in the year 2000.
