This study covering the period 1986-96 describes the pre-reform situation inthe Slovak agro-food sector and its transition process. It provides extensivebackground data, as well as detailed calculations of the level of assistance tothe main agricultural commodities as measured by Producer and Consumer SubsidyEquivalents.
