Né au Laos en 1966, Bruno Pélassy a produit un corpus

baroque, drôle et incisif, dont un film manifeste, Sans titre,

sang titre, cent titres , sur lequel Marie Canet s'appuie

pour mettre en lumière les liens entre l'oeuvre et le virus

du Sida, qui l'a emporté en 2002.

Les oeuvres de Bruno Pélassy sont produites dans un esprit

artisanal d'accumulation et de goût pour la fabrication ;

par leur précarité elles marchent contre la pérennité.

Au croisement du bijou et de l'objet décoratif,

ce sont des choses domestiques car, faites à la maison,

elles valorisent dans leur élaboration comme dans leur

contenu l'intimité du faire et sa destination.

Born in Laos in 1966, Bruno Pélassy produced a funny,

incisive and baroque body of work, including a manifesto

film, Sans titre, sang titre, cent titres , which Marie Canet

uses to highlight connections between Pélassy's work

and the AIDS virus that took his life in 2002.

The works of Bruno Pélassy are produced in an artisanal

spirit and one of accumulation, of pleasure in creation,

and yet through their precarity they work against longevity.

Along with jewellery and decorative objects, they are

domestic things, since they are homemade and their

mode of creation and content demonstrates the value

of the intimacy of production and its destination.
