The European decision to develop Galileo has stimulated projects focused on new services based on goods or people localisation. Most of these projects rely on the assumption that the localization is accurate and reliable. Even if Galileo will bring added-values in this domain with its interoperability with GPS and its integrity flag, expected performances do not yet correspond to the requirements of every application.

It is then still necessary to develop solutions that will provide an accurate satellite-based positioning.

These proceedings merge the papers presented the 16th of June 2009 about « accurate positioning for land transportation ». All papers focus either on accuracy and/or integrity, thus on solution availability for transport applications. The papers concern different international scientific communities : ITS, robotics, telecom, GNSS, geomatics, aerospace...

The goal of the workshop was to propose a place to meet devoted principally to the French users. The papers have been written in English to share and continue the discussion with a wider community and to extend diffusion.
