The t'Serstevens collection
Émile Henri t'Serstevens et son épouse Marie Dastot ont réalisé environ 2250 photographies, offrant un point de vue unique sur la vie quotidienne de la bourgeoisie au tournant du XX<sup>e</sup> siècle. Cette oeuvre fut redécouverte en 2013 dans la collection photographique de l'Institut royal du Patrimoine artistique (IRPA), l'institution scientifique belge responsable de la documentation, l'étude et la conservation du patrimoine culturel.
Émile Henri t'Serstevens and his wife Marie Dastot made around 2250 photographs offering a unique view on the life of the bourgeoisie at the turn of the 20<sup>th</sup> century. Their work was rediscovered in 2013 in the photographic collection of the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA), the Belgian scientific institute responsible for the documentation, study and conservation of cultural heritage.
Émile Henri t'Serstevens en zijn echtgenote Marie Dastot maakten bij de eeuw- wisseling naar de 20<sup>ste</sup> eeuw zo'n 2250 foto's : een unieke blik op het leven van de bourgeoisie van toen. Hun fotografisch oeuvre werd in 2013 herontdekt in de fotocollectie van het Koninklijk Instituut voor het Kunstpatrimonium (KIK), de Belgische wetenschappelijke instelling belast met de documentatie, studie en conservatie van het cultureel erfgoed.
