Updates the 1985 NEA report and presents a comprehensive analysis of the individual and total costs of the nuclear fuel cycle for a pressurized water reactor (PWR) to be commissioned in the year 2000 for both direct disposal and reprocessing routes. Sensitivity cases are discussed and fuel cycles of other reactor types are also considered.
