Anne et Patrick Poirier sont des pionniers de la création en couple, à l'instar de Gilbert et Georges.

Depuis 50 ans, leur oeuvre interroge le souvenir des civilisations dont, en « architectes-archéologues », ils ne cessent de témoigner métaphoriquement de la fragilité.

Leurs maquettes monumentales donnent au début des années 1970 un signal d'audace et de liberté qui a agrandi le territoire de l'art et ouvert de nouveaux horizons.
