D'Ieteren 1805-2005 : 200 years history

A company of which the foundation goes back to 200 years, is not very common.
Surviving the Napoleonic wars, the revolution of 1830 separating Belgium
from The Netherlands and the two world wars isn't very common either.
D'Ieteren can take pride in the fact of being such a company. The company
started its activities in 1805 in a small Brussels wheelwright workshop, and is
nowadays active throughout the world.
In this work, we do not only discover the evolution of the individual transport in
Belgium, but also some aspects of the political, economic and social history of the
country.
The book is illustrated with more than 350 unpublished documents, and recounts
the saga of the cars through the legendary makes. It also describes the career of six
generations of passionate entrepreneurs, driven by the same will of anticipation
and adaptation.
