L'orizzonte

To most readers of poetry, Math ≅ Infinity probably begins with an enigma. Dotoli does not claim that Math is equivalent to Infinity, because his title would simply have read Math = Infinity, neither does he venture that Math is roughly similar to Infinity, because Math ≃ Infinity would then have been the symbolic logic. Instead, the poet offers that Math is congruent with Infinity.

But what exactly does « congruent » mean, and more importantly perhaps, what does it come to mean in a book that does not make one single use of the word throughout its entire text ?
