Ce volume, qui s'ouvre par un hommage rendu par le Secrétaire perpétuel Michel Zink à la mémoire d'André Crépin (1928-2013), qui fut le promoteur au sein de l'AIBL des Journées d'études anglo-normandes, réunit les textes des communications présentées lors de leur troisième édition, organisée au palais Mazarin le 8 juin 2012.

Plusieurs d'entre elles concernent le travail créatif des auteurs adaptant des oeuvres d'origine anglo-française : adaptations européennes du poème de Tristan, transformations de roman en épopée, de chronique en poème, exploitations satirique et théâtrale.

D'autres exposés traitent de la plus ancienne hagiographie anglo-normande, de la géographie de Wace, et de l'usage de l'anglo-français en Angleterre, là où on ne l'attendait guère, hors de la cour et de la Ville. L'étendue et la diversité des usages de l'anglo-normand expliquent l'actuel développement des études d'anglo-normand, auquel contribue l'Anglo-Norman Text Society.

This volume, which opens with Permanent Secretary Michel Zink 's tribute to the memory of André Crépin (1928-2013), who promoted the Journées d'Études Anglo-Normandes (Anglo-Norman Research Days) within the AIBL, brings together the papers given at the third symposium, held at the Palais Mazarin, on June 8^th 2012.

Several of them relate to the creative work of writers who adapted works of Anglo-French origin : European adaptations of the Tristan poem, transformations of romances into epic, or of chronicles into poems, as well as theatrical and satirical adaptations.

Other presentations deal with the oldest Anglo-Norman hagiography to be known, with Wace's geography, and the somewhat unexpected use of Anglo-French in England outside the Royal Court and towns. The scope and diversity of the use of Anglo-Norman help to explain the current development of Anglo-Norman studies, to which the Anglo-Norman Text Society contributes.
