Oxidative stress and women's health

The aim of this book is to demonstrate the impact of oxidative stress on woman health with a special focus on reproduction and genome transmission. The determination of the female specific markers of oxidative stress will be approached

The book will cover : The role of ROS in gamete damaging, early embryonic development perturbation, polycystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis generation, contraception, menopause and pregnancy pathological aspects.

The metabolic and biochemical aspects, especially concerning lipid and DNA, leading to these pathologies including carcinogenesis will be explained, when possible. Some ROS linked perturbation in animals will be also presented In fine , the authors will shortly develop their own feelings on the ways to prevent and even cure, when possible, these pathological aspects.
