The Cathars

From the 11th to the 13th century, South-Western France experienced on of the darkest periods in its history. The Cathars, who were considered a heretics, were handed over to the Inquisition. Catharism, based on a dualist concept of life and conerned to return to the purity of early Christianity was eradicated.
