The new series of publications Mathematics and mathematical modelling will present the state of the art in various fields of applied mathematics with a strong emphasis on mathematical modelling, numerical simulations, understanding of natural phenomena. It can be used by scientists working in the corresponding areas of research, by graduate and undergraduate students.
The third publication of this series is devoted to reaction-diffusion systems of equations describing various phenomena in combustion, chemical kinetics, population dynamics and other natural sciences. One of the specific features of reaction-diffusion problems can be related to linear dependence of its reaction terms. It appears that in this case the corresponding differential operators do not satisfy the Fredholm property and conventional methods of mathematical analysis are not applicable. In this work, a new method, which allows the investigation of such problems, is developed
