Teacher training tactics : TTT

T.T.T. comes on time, as far as teaching/learning is concerned in Africa.
Teacher training has become a major concern and educators, parents,
students and also deciders at the highest level of governments agree
on that. Not only are initial teaching skills lacking but in-service follow
up is suffering from means, time and motivation for many reasons that
are sometimes specific to every country. Such a synopsis does not
mean that the teaching is bad, not at all. This book by Rokhaya Samb
represents for all actors an opportunity to show confidence and pride
in the teaching of English, in teachers and teacher educators.
T.T.T. will for sure, contribute to develop teachers, students and
teacher trainers' range of choices and strategies. This book, as you will
notice, provides specialists with other ways of reinforcing the academic
level of trainees with comprehension and production activities. Then,
some approaches and methods are proposed with explanations and
clear instructions.
Comments by trainees on real teaching situations are part of this
work, with the trainer's notes about other activities. All that is backed
up with a reflection on issues such as motivation, leadership and
critical thinking in teaching. Models of activities are presented, aiming
at enhancing personal and professional development at all levels.
